About the Awards

The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards for environmental excellence have been given every year since 1993. They are designed to recognise and celebrate the inspiring activities that are helping to improve the environment and encourage sustainability.

Past winners have included village community groups that have created wildlife areas, schools that have grown their own vegetables, and farmers that have restored and planted hedges or created wetlands.

Organisers

The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards are organised by the Rotary Club of Lindum, Lincoln in partnership with the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.

The patron of the Awards is the Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire Toby Dennis. The late Professor David Bellamy (1933 - 2019) was a supporter and patron of the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards from their beginning in 1993. He was an inspiration to everyone he met and without doubt helped to make the Awards what they are today.

The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards are also sponsored by local businesses without whom these Awards would not be possible. Find out more about our sponsors below.
